Adevarul Holding’s sale is a done deal, as both Dinu Patriciu and Cristi Burci signed the agreement on this matter. Adevarul Holding was taken over through Premium News (company that will launch an online project coordinated by Razvan Ionescu, former editorial director at Adevarul).
Premium News has Nora Marcovici (CEO Graffiti BBDO) and Diana Tobosaru (COO Graffiti BBDO) as shareholders. The info related to the contract signing and takeover of Adevarul Holding by Premium News was confirmed, for Paginademedia.ro, by Cristi Burci.
According to Burci, next steps are registering at Commerce Registry and getting the transaction approval from Competition Council, followed by an evaluation of the company to establish its future direction and, later, changes in its management team.
The transaction’s closure comes after 3 weeks of intense discussions and after Dinu Patriciu and Cristi Burci already signed an agreement related to Adevarul Holding takeover, on September 5th.
Previous to the official announcement, Petre Imre, General Manager Adevarul Holding, had a meeting with the employees and announced them the transaction is almost finalized. He mentioned Adevarul Holding goes through a very difficult period and said “there’s no miraculous formulas to save the company”, referring to the layoffs that took place or are likely to follow. Imre mentioned that he has stay within the company until the transition period is over.
