Pro TV, back on Dolce

After a lot of haggling during December and after Pro channels were removed from Dolce for a few days, Pro TV and Dolce reached to an agreement and the 11 TVs will be again available for the 1M subscribers of Dolce starting January 9th. The agreement comes less than a week of absence of Pro TV’s channel from Dolce platform.

Although it gives no details on the price, Romtelecom, the operator that owns Dolce, says that it is “glad its efforts to continue negotiations helped reaching a solution to retransmit Pro TV channels with no extra costs for its clients”.

At its turn, Pro TV announces it reached to an agreement with Romtelecom and “the 11 Pro TV channels (Pro TV, Acasa TV, Pro Cinema, Acasa Gold, sport.ro, MTV, Pro TV International, VH1, PRO TV HD, Acasa HD and sport.ro HD) will be reintroduced in Dolce TV offer starting January 9 th”. Pro TV adds that the negotiations will be over by January 31st, a date after the contract will be formal.

Pro TV also announced that, even given the new developments, Pro TV channels will continue to be available on voyo.ro, where they are already available starting December 31 st 2012, along with Voyo Cinema and Voyo Comedy.

Pro TV channels – removed from Dolce on January 3rd, following “unreasonable financial demands”.

Pro TV channels were removed from Dolce on January 3rd, at midnight, being replaced by 2 HBO channels and other premium channels.

“Following the unreasonable financial demands expressed by Pro TV S.A. to Romtelecom, to increase 3 times the costs to broadcast the 11 channels of the group on Romtelecom’s TV platforms, the negotiations between the 2 parties were unsuccesfull. This way, Romtelecom is forced, starting today, January 3rd, to withdraw the 11 channels from the TV offer for Romtelecom subscribers” , a Romtelecom
release said, at the moment of channels’ removal from the platform. Pro TV channels were replaced by new channels such as HBO, HBO Comedy, BBC Knowledge, Comedy Central, Shorts, BBC World News, France 24, MTV Hits, Mooz Hits, iar pentru abonaţii cu receptoare HD: Eurosport 1 HD and Shorts HD.

Pro TV channels – also on Voyo.ro starting this year

ProTV, Acasa, Acasă Gold, Sport.ro and ProCinema are broadcasted also on voyo.ro starting December 2012 and are available in a new section of the website, TV Online.

According to the company, there might appear limitations regarding some broadcasts due to broadcasting rights. Moreover, the access to the channels is exclusively for Voyo.ro subscribers in Romania.
