Daniel Contescu, former chief of Sports department at Evenimentul zilei, launched the website Sport24H, which will focus on sports news and will also include a sports’ bets section.

“We bet on exclusive info, but also on the life area and subjects that matter. I wanted to remain in sports journalism sector and I think internet is the future”, Contescu said, for Paginademedia.ro.

At its launch, the website published, exclusively, images with Ion Tiriac dating back in ‘60s.

Daniel Contescu quit Evenimentul zilei in January, after being demoted following an article on Gigi Becali. Contescu worked for Evz for 15 years.
