4 news stations fined RON 250,000 in total for the coverage in Alexandrescu case

CNACNA fined Antena 3 (RON 100,000), Romania TV (RON 90,000), Nasul TV (RON 30,000) and B1TV (RON 30,000) for the way they covered the blackmail case in which Sorin Alexandrescu, Antena Group’s manager, is being investigated.

Publicitate

Realitatea TV was sanctioned with a public warning for the same case. The sanctions came following a proposal made by Christian Mititelu, a CNA member.

The 4 TVs were fined for not delimitating opinions from facts, lack of reaction from moderators to unproved accusations, lack of impartiality, lack of pluralism in opinions and lack of solid information.
