Prima TV returns to its initial owner, Cristi Burci, that also owns Adevarul Holding. The papers related to the sell were signed yesterday.

The transaction made by Burci only covers Prima TV. Burci didn’t comment the information but confirmed, for Paginademedia.ro, the fact that the official documents were signed.

Cristian Burci will become the owner of Prima TV after the transaction will receive the approval from Competition’s Council.

On the other hand, according to paginademedia.ro info, Kiss FM, Magic FM and Rock FM radios, along with Kiss TV channel, will be taken over by the Greek Antenna Group, that also was negotiating to buy Prima TV.

ProSieben Sat, company that owns, in Romania, SBS Broadcasting, announced previously, in its activity report, that intends to sell the operations it owns in Romania and Hungary.

Information on Prima TV’s sale started appearing in the autumn, when Catalin Tolontan announced that RCS&RDS is in talks for aquiring the entertainment TV. Shortly after, Dragos Stanca, General Manager Think Digital, wrote, on his blog, about the interest of Greek Antenna Group to enter on Romanian market.

Prima TV was launched by Cristian Burci, owner of Click! and Adevarul, in December 1997, on Amerom’s licence. In 2005, he sold the station to SBS Broadcasting. Burci takes Prima TV back just a few days since the channel celebrated 16 years since launch.
