Forbes analysis: How is TV advertising dividing? Which are the main ad clients?


televiziune_telecomanda_capitalThe 6 TVs from Pro TV S.A. group (controlled by CME) have an accumulated TV market share of 31,9% in Q1 2014, while the direct competition, Intact Media Group, has 27,7% market share, as a Forbes Romania analysis shows.


During the first 3 months of the year, Pro TV S.A., owner of Pro TV, Acasa TV, Acasa Gold, Pro Cinema, and MTV Romania licences, delivered to the ad clients an audience volume of 135.835 Gross Rating Points (GRP’30) on commercial public (urban, 18 – 49 years old).

Together, Pro TV SA and Intact Media Group have 60% market share on Romanian TV ad market in Q1 2014

When it comes of companies’ investments in advertising in Q1 2014, the budgets were smaller than in the same period last year, with multinational companies being reserved when it came of TV advertising.

Unilever was the biggest ad client, with 21.839 GRPs on commercial target, down 3,9% compared with the similar period in 2013. Second was Procter & Gamble - 17.678 GRPs, down 21% compared to 2013.
