ANCOM (Autoritatea de reglementare in comunicatii) will give, through a selection procedure and until June 2015, 5 licences for terrestrial digital TV (multiplexes), according to the Informational Society Ministry, quoted by Mediafax.
The licensing is included within the strategy for transition from terrestrial analogic TV to the terrestrial digital one, approved on Wednesday during a Government meeting, with a decision.
Dan Nica, Informational Society Minister, said that TV in Romania will cease functioning analogue and be only digital starting June 2015.
