Pro TV, officially without Adrian Sarbu. Sarbu to receive $5.4M after finishing all formalities

 

adrian-sarbu-cravata-silviu-matei_49478410_MFXAdrian Sarbu’s contract with Central European Media Enterprises, owner of Pro TV, officially reached to an end, after Sarbu quit his position as CME president in August 2013.

According to the deal between CME and Sarbu, Pro TV’s founder kept receiving his CME salary from August to December 2013 and, at his departure from the company, he will receive an extra $5.4M in Czeck koronas.

Moreover, he will have the preemption rights if the Americans decide to sell operations they own in Romania.

Adrian Sarbu is now owner of Mediafax Group, that owns Mediafax News Agency and more printed publications such as Business Magazin, Ce se întâmplă doctore?, Ziarul Financiar and Playboy. Mediafax Group also operates couple tens of websites, among which gandul.info, zf.ro, prosport.ro, descopera.ro etc.

During second half of 2013, Mediafax Group transformed more titles it owned: renounced to print version of Pro TV Magazin, made Pro Sport a weekly supplement distributed with Ziarul Financiar on Tuesdays and dropped InStyle.
