CNA voted to modify an article in the Audiovisual Code that refers to the images with inmates broadcasted by TV stations.

“The image and/or recordings with people that are executing a prison sentence, are arrested or were condemned to a sentence that strip them of liberty mustn’t be presented excessively and unreasonable”, is one of the modifications voted by CNA when it comes of art 42 of the code.

The modification was made in the context of multiple discussions on the excess of images from prison with Gigi Becali and Adrian Nastase’s case was also mentioned.
The modification proposal came from Christian Mitielu and received 6 votes “for” (Monica Gubernat, Vioel Vasile Buda, Laura Georgescu, Christian Mititelu, Răsvan Popescu and Cristina Trepcea).

CNA is working to a decision to modify and complete the Audiovisual code. The voted proposal on inmates’ images will be part of this document, which will be published on CNA’s website and will be up for public debate for 30 days.
