Orange Romania prepares to enter DTH TV market, competing with Digi (owned by RCS) and Romtelecom (Dolce). Orange already signed a contract with SES Astra, one of the biggest providers of satellite telecom services in the world, Ziarul Financiar wrote, in its printed edition.

Orange’s entrance on the TV market is scheduled for April, May the latest.

In Romania, the 3 main players on DTH market are Digi (RCS&RDS), Romtelecom Dolce and Focus Sat (UPC).

The total market in Romania has 5.92M subscribers, from which 3.67M have cable subscription and 2.21M - DTH (Digi, Dolce şi Focus Sat).20
