Nea Marin Billionaire, with Amza Pellea in the leading role, remains until today the Romanian movie with most paying viewers of all times, according to Forbes Romania.
According to data from Romanian National Cinema Center (CNC), the movie directed by Sergiu Nicolaescu attracted 14.64M people that paid a cinema ticket to see the movie.
2nd place in this top is occupied by “Pacala”, with Sebastian Papaiani in the leading role. The movie, directed by Geo Saizescu, premiered on March 11th 1974 and had 14.63M paying viewers .
