Romanian Television demanded CNA to approve a new programs schedule for TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR International and TVR 3. CNA approved modifying the programming for the regional channels and TVR 3 and postponed approving the scheduling for TVR1, TVR2 and TVR International “until it will have a point of view from TVR’s president general manager”.
Narcisa Iorga, CNA member:
“I propose to postpone the vote until we have a point of view from Claudiu Saftoiu (…) Saftoiu came here and assumed the responsibility to transform TVR 2 in TVR 2 Cultural. It isn’t our obligation to accept a programs schedule that is different from what he promised (…)”
When it comes of TVR 1, own productions will decrease considerably, as the number of informational programs increases. TVR 2 increases own productions, with cultural programs representing just 14% of the schedule, and that upset more CNA members.
