Eurovision 2013: Cezar Ouatu qualified in the finals; Show’s audience – overrun by NextStar

Eurovision semifinal that saw Ouatu qualified in the finals generated good audiences for TVR 1. On semifinal’s interval, the 1st in audiences was Antenei 1, with Dan Negru’s talent-show NextStar.

Still, Eurovision and TVR1 managed, during the 2 hours of the broadcast, to top Pro TV in urban areas and had a close audience at national level.


Moreover, durint the 2nd hour of the broadcast, Eurovision was audience leader, surpassing both Pro TV and Antena 1 .

For the entire broadcast interval, TVR 1’s Eurovision was watched by 773.000 people at national level, ranking 3rd after Next Star (Antenei 1, 1.2M viewers) and almost equal with Pro TV (just 4,000 more viewers than TVR).

At urban level, TVR 1 was 2nd (570,000 viewers) outranking Pro TV by 200,000 viewers, something that happens very rarely. Antena 1 was on the 1st place (700.000 viewers).

Eurovision’s public wasn’t the youngest one, with TVR 1 watched by 217.000 viewers from this segment (3,9 rtg), ranking third after Antena 1 (358.000 – 6,4 rtg) and Pro TV (238.000 – 4,3).
