Realitatea TV, fined RON 5,000 for misinterpreting a statement made by Eugen Nicolaescu

Realitatea TV was fined RON 5,000 for a news broadcasted on April 4th in which a series of statements made by Health minister were misinterpreted.

Nicolaescu said he will take the money aimed to stomatologic treatments and will include them in the budget aimed for cancer treatment. Realitatea TV’s news said that

Nicolaescu blames cancer pacients for Health Minister’s budget reduction and for the lack of money intended for stomatologic treatments. Moreover, the news didn’t include Nicolaescu’s point of view.

The news TV was sanctioned because it didn’t insure correct information of the public and info weren’t presented impartially and on good faith
