Dan Diaconescu made a first step to reopen OTV by taking over Top 1 TV and demanding CNA, on June 14, a demand to change the name in OTV.
The surprise came when Top1 TV lost its licence on June 20 as, when CNA controlled it, it wasn't broadcasting anymore. Moreover, Top1 TV recently sent to CNA a notification to change shareholdership, with it being owned now by Diana Voiculescu (95%), collaborator of Dan Diaconescu, and Gheorghe Georgeta (5%).
Top 1 TV representatives, among which Florin Condurateanu from OTV, went to CNA to demand a review of the decision to withdraw the licence. Their demand was rejected by CNA with unanimity of votes.
