Ecaterina Andronescu (PSD), Daniel Barbu (PNL), Dumitru Pelican (PC), Sulfina Barbu (PDL) and Aurelian Pavelescu (PNTCD) are the most active members of political parties they represent, according to a mediaTRUST Romania monitoring study.
Between July 1-31, PSD Senator Ecaterina Andronescu was the most active politician, with 22 presences in TV studios. From PNL, the most active was Daniel Barbu (16), Conservative Party had Dumitru Pelican as its most active politician (14), while PNTCD is in top with Aurelian Pavelescu (13).
Sulfina Barbu and Adrian Rădulescu are PDL’s most active representatives (11 presences each), while journalist Florin Condurateanu from PPDD had 10 presences.
PNTCD president Aurelian Pavelescu is the political leader with the highest number of minutes spent in TV studios in July (741), followed by Mihail Neamtu (New Republic, 529 minutes) and PRM President Corneliu Vadim Tudor (418 minutes). Next in line are Victor Ponta (PSD) and Vasile Blaga (PDL).
Ecaterina Andronescu ranks first in the top of female public figures most present in TV studios in July (22 presences), followed by lawyer Paula Iacob (18 presences), Sulfina Barbu (11), businesswoman Monica Tatoiu and Andreea Pora (10 presences each) and Cristina Traila (9).
The first place in the top of male public figures is held by Bogdan Chirieac (32 presences), followed by Mugur Ciuvica, the president of the Political Investigations Group Association (25 presences) and journalist Val Valcu (24 presences). In male presences top there are also Liviu Pop (21), Marius Pieleanu and Mirel Palada (10 presences each).
The analysis took in consideration five TV stations, namely Antena 3, B1 TV, Romania TV, Realitatea TV and Digi 24 and analyzed the shows broadcasted during the time interval 5.00 pm – 11.00 pm.
