Sorin Ovidiu Vintu – heard at DNA as witness in a case related to Realitatea TV

Sorin Ovidiu Vintu was present at DNA’s headquarters to be heard as witness in a case related to the way the takeover of Realitatea Media shares was made, Mediafax writes.

DNA prosecutors heard, on Friday, SOV’s daughter, Ioana, that said that she made a statement as a witness in a case related to Realitatea Media. She declined to make comments on the possible existence of a complaint made by the TV station or of a criminal investigation on the sale of Realitatea Media shares by Elan Schwartzenberg, but mentioned she salutes prosecutors’ action.

Judicial sources quoted by Mediafax stated there are some suspicions that Realitatea Media was abusively taken over by Strategies Research Investments SRL (where shareholders are Cozmin Gusa and Maricel Pacuraru). In the same time, prosecutors are verifying the way Elan Schwartzenberg bought shares in Realitatea Media. The case is at the stage of preliminary investigation, with nobody placed under criminal investigation, the quoted sources added.

The shareholders of Realitatea Media SA was officially modified on March 8th 2013, according to documents submitted to the Commercial Registry Office. Realitatea Media SA (in insolvency) shareholders structure modified, with Bluelink Comunicazione (Cyprus) Limited leaving the shareholders of the company. Also, among shareholders aren’t now either Elan Schwartzenberg or Sorin Ovidiu Vantu’s children.

On April 10th 2012, Ioana Vantu was appointed director of Bluelink Comunicazione (Cyprus) Limited – that as the main shareholder in Realitatea Media SA and that owned, back then, the audiovisual licence for Realitatea TV. Also at that time, Ioana and Ionut Vantu, Sorin Ovidiu Vantu’s children, took over together 82% of Bluelink, while Elan Schwartenberg kept 9% and the rest of 9% went to Vitalie Dobanda – a person close to Sorin Ovidiu Vantu, according to info published on Rise Project and paginademedia.ro.

Nowadays, the main shareholder at Realitatea Media is Strategies Research Investments SRL (86,513817357%), owned equally by Cozmin Gusa (50%) and Maricel Pacuraru (50%). Other shareholders are National Syndicate “Petrom-Energie” (5,423391979%), PSV Company SA (7,555789039%), SC Global Video Media SRL (0,507001207%), Florin Bercea – also special administrator of Realitatea Media (0,000000139%), Eugen Gheorghe Luha (0,000000139%), Gheorghe Cristian Toroipan (0,000000139%).
