CREDIDAM (Romanian association that collects the financial rights on behalf of artist) and ANAF (Romanian fiscal authority) reached in front of the judge after an inspection made by ANAF in the first half of the year showed a series of problems that put under a question mark the activity of the association, Hotnews.ro writes.

Among the problems discovered there are wrongly deducted TVA, money spent for pampers and powder milk, night gown, perfumes, medicine or tens of bottles of wine. As a consequence, ANAF decided CREDIDAM has supplementary payments to make in a total value of RON 5M.

For less than half of this amount, ANAF issued a payment summon. CREDIDAM contested, in the instance, both ANAF’s report and its summons.

According to its own description, CREDIDAM collects and divides money coming from broadcasting artist’s work in media (radio, TV, cable, restaurants etc) towards the artists that deserve those amounts. CREDIDAM say it has over 11,000 members, from Radu Beligan and Stela Popescu to Inna and Grasu XXL. In 2007, the organization collected over RON 27M in renumerations, according to a fiscal report
