Anti-corruption prosecutors demand 9 years of jail for Dan Diaconescu, charged with blackmailing Arad’s mayor Ion Mot and businessman Paul Petru Tardea, b1.ro writes.

Diaconescu is accused of asking the named mayor the amount of Euro 200.000 in order not to broadcast on his TV a compromising material.

Together with Diaconescu are also prosecuted and judged Dorel Petru Parv, programs producer OTV, manager at SC Kundalini SRL, and Ghezea Mitrus, journalist, former programs producer OTV, former general manager “Atac la persoana”, both accused of blackmail, b1.ro adds.

Arad’s mayor, under the pressure of the blackmail, gave Doru Parv Euro 30.000 and RON 42.000 so the money “would reach, in the end, to Dan Diaconescu”.
