Romanian Public Radio (SRR)’s management board members, including its president-general manager Ovidiu Miculescu, will end their mandates in June, reason why Senate’s Culture Committee started the procedure to replace them, Mediafax writs.

PSD senator Georgica Severin, president of Senate’s Culture and Media Committee, stated, for Mediafax, that he already submitted to the Permanent Bureau a letter in which he demanded the start of proceedings to appoint a new management for SRR.

Severin said it is an inedite situation for a SRR management board to finish its 4 years mandate, as SRTV’s similar structures were changed multiple times during the last few years, before ending their mandate, after their activity reports were rejected by Parliament.

The current SRR’ management board was appointed by Parliament on June 29th 2010.
