Romanian adolescents spend, on average, around 7 hours a day watching TV, listening to radio, browsing the internet or playing video games, according to a study presented by Romanian Youth and Sports Ministry and UNICEF and quoted by Mediafax.
According to the study, social media instruments are mainly used by boys (93% versus 88%), by adolescents in urban areas (91% vs. 77%) and by young people aged at least 14 years old.
The same study states that 96% of adolescents are watching TV on daily basis, 50% spend over 3 hours doing that instead of socializing, learning, playing or doing sports. Also, 88% are using the internet, with an average of 3.37 hours a day
