We must reinvent and we will do it together with the hundreds of thousands of people that read us and watch us on daily basis”
Orlando Nicoara, CEO Mediafax Group:
“The future of this product is in digital, and the experience of Gandul, that, in just 2 years, became one of the most important websites in Romania, makes us be trustful that we can repeat the success also with Prosport brand”
Gazeta Sporturilor remains the only Romanian print sports daily. Discussions with Ringier
Starting December, the only sports daily available on Romanian market will be Gazeta Sporturilor. Intact’s publication is now in discussions with Ringier, that wants to take over the title.
The history of the 2 publications – Gazeta Sporturior and ProSport – is intertwined. The team that handles now Gazeta Sporturilor (managed by Ovidiu Ioanitoaia and Catalin Tolontan) is the one that Adrian Sarbu had in charge with Pro Sport’s start, 15 years ago .
On the other hand, women lifestyle magazine InStyle will be closed, with the last edition to appear on the market being the one in December.
“The licence contract ended and is not prolongued anymore”, Orlando Nicoara, General Manager Mediafax Group, said, for paginademedia.ro.
When it comes of magazine’s team, Carmen Mihalcea, publisher women division Mediafax Group, said that the company is trying to offer them other jobs inside the company.
In November 2011, Mediafax Group took over the licence for InStyle from Attica Media, after taking back also another title, Playboy.
